Biography

Los Angeles, CA – City of Angels

As a Chicagoland native, Danny descends from a lineage of Midwest Latino tradespeople and ironworkers. Hardwork and sacrifice were the mainstays of his family – where labored spirits grew from the life lessons of humility and resolve.

Danny began his professional career in his final years as a Columbia College Chicago graduate in the Cinematography program – 8 years of subsequent professional camera & lighting work in the Chicago motion picture industry followed. His crew resume includes dozens of local union IASTE productions, music videos, nonunion TV series, and an A24 feature. The base of his knowledge was learned from the technical mentorship of the wonderfully surly, seasoned, and extremely proficient professionals of the Midwest union members.

Transitioning into his role as a nonunion cinematographer,  Danny primarily cut his teeth filming commercial, branded and advertising content – partnering with advertising agencies, production companies and direct businesses from across the globe. He brings his experience not just as a filmmaker, but decades worth of life teachings.
